Sectional Views of RMS Caronia

Around the time of Caronia's entering revenue service, there was a huge amount of publicity on all aspects of this new Cunard ship. Even though the U.K. was still very much in recovery after WWII, the “Green Goddess” was even touted by the Government as a beacon of hope.

Such was the publicity surrounding Caronia that interest in her every detail was raised. Of course, for the technically-minded, there was a need to produce sectional drawings and artists G.H.Davis and Winston Megoran were commissioned to produce them.

On this page I offer sectioned views from 4 different sources, from an early Cunard brochure, a period London Newspaper, another from a period boy's magazine, and finally a plain drawing from a shipping magazine supplement.
