This page is one of a series of Caronia transcripts, this time the Arctic Circle Festivities ball held in
the main lounge at 10.15pm on 16 July 1966. Whereas the “Crossing the Line” ceremony could
take place on deck in the Tropics, not for these passengers the rigours of the Arctic chill!
By this date, Miss Clara Louise Macbeth was another passenger well-travelled upon Caronia. She was now
into her 16th year on board. Her first cruise being the Great World Cruise of 1951.

crowned as this year's Honorary Queen.

King Neptune awarded certificates to the performers.
Their Majesties opened the Ball with a waltz, bid
adieu until next year's festivities and then retired
to the strains of “Land of Hope and Glory”.
