Caronia Under Tow

With his camera stretched well out over the port side, Ave Quin has managed to get this impressive shot of Caronia on the move whilst under tow by US Naval tugs from Yokohama to the dry-dock at Yokosuka. This also shows the thickness of the plates that formed the “O” & “N” letters of Caronia's name.

Note: All photographs credited from B.C. Morse Jr., were first published in the Steamship Historical Society of America's journal “Steamboat Bill” Number 135 in Fall of 1975. Permission to use these photographs was applied for!
