Cabin Class menu covers Part 1

There were several sizes of menu card used on board Caronia. The largest of these, which were normally only ever used as 1st Class or Cruising menus, would also occasionally be used in Cabin Class. Because I have standardised the width of the thumbnails below, it's quite difficult to clearly identify the actual size of each individual cover from its picture.

The menus shown on this page were used in the Sandringham Restaurant on transatlantic crossings. The smaller range, compared to 1st Class, reflects the proportions of Caronia's use on the transatlantic service as opposed to her time on cruises.

Another Unique Item

Thanks to a careful watch kept by Ross Blouin on eBay USA, I'm thrilled to show another menu cover that's unique to the archive. The Colfusco Church menu cover also represents the 2nd to last Cabin Class Luncheon ever served on board.

In effect it was the last at sea. The last Westbound transatlantic crossing arrived in the early afternoon on Wednesday 23 August 1967 with Luncheon served on the Hudson river.
