Introduction
This page lists all of the jobs carried out by the crew of the “Green Goddess” on her 53rd Transatlantic Crossing from Southampton to New York. This was ahead of a Christmas Cruise and a Wine & Liquor Convention Caribbean Cruise. This was followed by the 1955 Great World Cruise which has its own list.
Although this list is shown as a manifest, it is not intended that it give full details of each rating, like Age, Nationality, Service at Sea etc. The list is ordered according to Articles Number with series letter prefix.

Notes
- Total crew complement, including the Master, for the 04 December 1954 Transatlantic Crossing was 694 of which there were 461 in the Catering Department
- Although the Y prefix signings are shown as being in Liverpool, there were some late signings that took place in Southampton, though these are not differentiated below
- Very sadly, upon arrival at New York, Bo'sun Alfred Kilfoyle was left in hospital suffering from “Hemiplegia” (presumably the result of a stroke). Alfred had been Bo'sun aboard the “Green Goddess” since the Maiden Voyage and had completed almost 50 voyages, before being taken ill
