Wednesday, 12 October Itinerary

Leaving the pier, we proceed via the Plain of Sharon, Lydda, and the Judean Hills to Jerusalem, arriving in time for a late luncheon.
In the afternoon, there will be an automobile tour of Mount Zion, with a visit to King David's Tomb and the Church of Dormition. Thence drive via Talpioth, where, weather permitting, a distant view of the Dead Sea may be obtained.
Then to Ramat Rachel, where Bethlehem may be seen on a clear day. Visits are also made to Fin Karem (birthplace of John the Baptist) and the Church of St. John, as well as the Church of the Visitation.
The night will be spent in Jerusalem.
Thursday, 13 October
On the following morning, drive via the coastal road to Hadera, Wadi Ara, and up the Valley of Jezreel. Skirting Mt. Tabor, we pass Yavniel, and continue along the shore of the Sea of Galilee to Tiberias for luncheon.
In the afternoon, drive to Capernaum to visit the ruins of the 2nd century church. Continue to Kfar Kana, site of the Miracle of the Wine, and then to Nazareth. Visit the Church of Joseph the Carpenter, and Mary's Well.
Return to Haifa in the late afternoon.
