Tour #3: Saturday / Sunday, 01 / 02 October 1955
Casablanca
Price $3.50 per person
This comprehensive three-hour sightseeing tour takes you deep into the teeming city of Casablanca, one of the most intriguing spots on the face of the earth. As one drives into the native and European quarters, one is struck by the bustling and colourful animation on all sides.
Another unusual feature is the barrier that separates the new town from the old, a typical practice in Moroccan cities. Visits will be made to such diversified sights as the Sultan's Palace and Gardens, the new Medina, Place Lyautey and its surrounding Administrative Buildings, and the Town Hall.
Then onwards to Anfa Hill, which offers a splendid panoramic view of the city. After a visit to the Anfa Hotel, scene of the historic Casablanca Conference during World War II, the tour calls at Ain Diab Beach and pools, the Corniche, El Haiak Lighthouse, the Admiralty and ramparts of the old Medina.
(Members of this tour may also take either Tour 4 or Tour 6 or Tour 7, but will not participate in Tour 5 and 8)
